RELATED LINKSIntroduction to Fuel Cell Science, Technology and Applications for Professionals on 24 September 2007 at Imperial College London A one day course with the intention to serve as an authoritative introduction to the important and growing area of fuel cell technology. The interactive relationships between materials selection, cell design and fabrication will be highlighted, with the aim of providing those attending with an appreciation of the current 'state-of-play' and the potential for development and commercial realisations. Professionals who already have an active involvement in the field will find the course useful in the breadth of its coverage. http://www.imperial.ac.uk/cpd/fuelcell SHIFT (Sustainable High-Innovation Fuels and Transport) Conference-Expo This year, SEEDA sponsors and launches a new one-day Conference Expo organised by High Value Manufacturing Series manager and technology consultancy, CIR Ltd, on Wednesday 19 September 2007, at the Said Business School, Park Street, Oxford, from 10:00 - 18:00. The conference, led by Prof Peter Dobson (OU), aims to discuss among academics, consultants, business and government, the sustainable fuels, fuel cells, 2nd generation biofuels, and other alternative sustainable power sources for transport, and go on to case study some of the leading sustainable pure or hybrid cars and buses, which use hydrogen, fuel cells, or batteries.
